Virtues: Loyalty, Perseverance, Patience Her name means "Noble Lady".
A noble lady indeed was Sarah, the wife of Abraham and the mother of Isaac. Sarah followed her husband where God instructed him to go. At the age of 65, she left her friends and family and home in the town of Haran and traveled to the foreign land of Canaan. One day, many years later, the Lord spoke to Abraham, announcing that Abraham and Sarah would have a son, who was to be named "Isaac." Upon hearing of this news, Sarah laughed! After all, she was very old, but nothing is impossible with the Lord. Isaac, which means "laughter" brought great joy to Abraham and Sarah. He continued the family line which became known as the Nation of Israel.
